I turned 30 and went ice skating. You think that would be possible in a tropical climate? You haven’t seen the 4 fancy new malls built here, including one with an ice skating rink.
That day was momentous also because I made my first cake from scratch. I had fun doing it and the only change I would make is using a homemade frosting, the store bought stuff was too sweet.

Awesome. I haven’t actually broken down and tried the skating rink yet, but I have looked at it wistfully several times. Hmmm…my 30th is coming up, maybe I should do the same thing?

Happy Birthday! I haven’t gone over to see the new rink since it got finished, you won’t find me out there in skates though. As a Californian, I never learned and the one time I tried it -back when I was a lot younger – I sprained my ankle. All that cold stuff, ice + snow, etc, are treacherous in my book.
So, is today Feb 13th your birthday? Cuz, it’s mine too! Hope to meet you guys some time.
